First Scouting Trip of the Year

So after finding out that I drew a Nevada archery antelope and deer tag in eastern Nevada, me and my brother decided to go on our first scouting trip of the year. We were expecting the weather to be pretty nice since it was the last week in May. The first day we got there it was nice like we expected. After that we had some bad luck.
Me and my brother were heading up to the top of a mountain in our truck, and we got a flat tire about half way up the mountain. We didn’t have a spare tire though, so we called our parents and told them the situation. They decided to head out to where we were (which was about 3 hours away) and help us out. They got there at about 8pm, and about the time they got there it started to snow. It didn’t stop snowing all night, and it snowed most of the next day. When we woke up, there was about a foot of snow on the ground.
After spending a while on the side of the mountain trying to turn my dad’s truck that had a trailer hooked to it, we finally turned it around and got back to town and fixed the tire.
Here are a couple pictures of the snow and the flat tire… It was one crazy weekend…

Here is a small goat that we saw-- nothing too special. The picture isn’t too great because the heat waves… And here is a cow elk. She was about 1200 yards away… We only saw some goats and a few cow elk before the snow ruined the rest of the trip. We’ll get some better pictures on our next scouting trip Winking smile
